Life Group Directory opens August 30, 2020!
FALL SEMESTER | September 6 – November 28, 2020
Thank you for your interest in hosting a Life Group this semester!
Although we are doing our best to practice social distancing from each other right now, this fall some of our Life Groups will be meeting both online and in-person (with restrictions.) Bottom line, it is so important to stay relationally and spiritually connected, and we’d love to help you host a fall group today.
Life Groups at Souls Church have one, simple purpose: to bring people together. We believe God created us to live in relationship with others and only then can we live the full life He intends for us. Sharing life through community is part of our design, but meaningful relationships aren’t always easy to find. That’s why Life Groups exist—to make these life-changing relationships relevant and accessible to you.
Fall Directory launches Sunday, August 30!
Hosting a Life Group
Hosting a life group – whether digital or in-person isn’t about being perfect; it’s about serving others by giving them a place to connect. Hosting a group is simple — choose a topic that interests you and select a time and location to meet with others to share it. We give you essential tools to make your life group successful through training, a catalog to choose for FREE curriculum, and a directory where you can register your group so others can find it easily. We believe people’s lives are changed one semester at a time by moving one step toward Christ. As a life group leader, you get to play an important role in that process.
What is recommended for In-Person Life Groups?
We recommend that each Fall Life Group take the following precautions:
-Groups cannot exceed 10 people total including host – Masks are required if indoors (unless you have a medical condition)
-Groups are recommended for adults aged 18-59
-Adequate location to allow appropriate social distancing (6 feet)
-Limit personal contact (i.e. avoid hugs and handshakes at this time)
-Appropriately clean area before meeting
-Have adequate access to soap and water or hand sanitizer
-Provide only pre-packaged food or beverage (i.e. bottled water) -Children (To be decided by COVID Lead Team)
If the gathering recommendations cannot be met, then the recommendation is to continue meeting virtually until they can be met or the restrictions are lifted.
Should I Attend an In-Person Life Group yet?
Please take a minute to review the following questions:
-Have you had a cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, and/or fever above 100 F in the last 72 hours (3 days)? (Please note fever resolution must be without the aid of fever-reducing medication)
-Have you been around anyone with these symptoms in the past 14 days? (cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, and/or fever above 100 F)
-Are you living with anyone who is sick or quarantined?
-Have you traveled anywhere that has a significant number of new COVID-19 cases, or is considered a COVID-19 “hot spot,” in the last 14 days?
-Do you live with, or have frequent contact with, someone over 60 or has a serious underlying health condition?
If you answered “yes” to any of the above questions, we ask that you participate virtually for the following two weeks. Those that are 65+ and/or those with serious underlying health conditions should consider participating virtually until we re-open.
