Reopening Update

Souls Church is hoping to reopen for in-person worship the weekend of July 12!

Over the next several weeks, we will continue to monitor health updates and guidelines, and be posting additional information on this page regarding our weekend services and information about our new policies and procedures.  We are committed to reopening in a way that prioritizes the health, safety, and comfort of everyone during Covid-19.

We know that some of you might not be ready to come back, and that’s ok! You can continue to worship with us through Souls Church Online and find ongoing, daily content through our app, Facebook, and Instagram platforms.

We know you may have some questions for us. Over the next several weeks we will be addressing as many of those as possible on this page, so check back for regular updates. For now, we wanted to answer a few that we know are on many of your minds…

Why is Souls Church waiting so long to reopen?
We are so excited to begin to worship with you in person. The health and safety of our attendees and Dream Team is our first priority, and with the CDC guidelines changing daily, we wanted to continue to monitor what was best. We also wanted to watch and learn from other churches in our community as they began to reopen, what has worked and what has not been effective. Lastly, we want to be able to offer kids care – with so many kids in our church, that was a big factor.

How will Souls Church be enabling social-distancing in its locations?
As we move towards reopening, we will be communicating our plans in greater detail. We will be utilizing signage and Dream Team leaders as we encourage attendees to arrive, head to their seats, and limit gatherings in the lobby’s and foyers as much as possible. In our auditorium, we will be opening the doors at 8:45 am, and seating attendees to help maintain social distancing.

How is Souls Church cleaning its facilities?
We will conduct regular cleanings of our areas between services to ensure proper sanitation of our high-traffic spaces. Additionally, hand sanitizer stations will be located throughout our facilities.

Do attendees have to wear a face mask or reserve a seat online?
Face masks will be available in the lobby for any attendees who would like one. Our ushers and greeters will be wearing them as well at every service. Reserved seating is not required at this time, it will be offered on a first come, first serve basis. If we reach capacity, we will invite you to watch the service online.

Again, we look forward to gathering in person soon, and we will be posting additional information on this page regarding our weekend services and information about our new policies and procedures in the weeks to come!
