GOD CHOSE YOU
January 25, 2024
"EVEN BEFORE HE MADE THE WORLD, GOD LOVED US AND CHOSE US IN CHRIST TO BE HOLY AND WITHOUT FAULT IN HIS EYES. GOD DECIDED IN ADVANCE TO ADOPT US INTO HIS OWN FAMILY BY BRINGING US TO HIMSELF THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. THIS IS WHAT HE WANTED TO DO, AND IT GAVE HIM GREAT PLEASURE." (EPHESIANS 1:4-5, NLT)
Do you know that God chose you before the creation of the world?
Think about that truth for a moment.
If you asked God, “Why do you love me?” He would not respond with a list of your attributes or characteristics. He would simply say, “Because I want to love you. I have redeemed you and called you by name. I want to heal you, set you free and fill you with purpose. You are mine.”
Before you made a single decision, He decided to love you, save you, redeem you, and bless you. And perhaps the most romantic part of this divine love story is that He loves you with an everlasting love. He wants to love you. It brings Him joy.
When you run, God follows. When you fail, He’s unwavering. When you doubt Him, He is steadfast. In your weakness, God wants to be your overcoming source of strength.
Psalm 31:19 (NLT) tells us, “How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world.”
Every day, God wants to help you, not just spiritually, but on a practical level. He wants to enable you to live in victory and be blessed to be a blessing to the world around you!
