As we come to the end of July and approach the fall semester, we wanted to announce the following changes to our SC Kids Team effective September 1, 2024...
DANIELLE TREBESCH
After 10+ years of faithfully pioneering an amazing kids team at our church, Danielle will be transitioning away from this role at the end of August to focus more fully on this next season of her life. Danielle met with us last year, sharing that she sensed a shift was coming in her heart as a new season was upon her - a season of raising Sawyer (her son), leading hundreds of kids at work daily, finishing up on her Masters, and developing a deeper walk with God and her husband was her focus. While Danielle will continue to be an active part of our church family and community and still serve on other teams, this change away from Souls Kids will allow her to get refreshed and refocused on what God has for her at this time in her life.
We are thankful for Danielle's many years of faithful service for the Kingdom, her creative juices that always flowed, and the many young lives she has touched in the process. We look forward to honoring her during our weekend service on Sunday, August 25!
SHASHANA BELL
After much prayer and thought, Shashana will be be stepping away from her role at the end of August as our SC Nursery Lead after two years of faithfully serving our youngest. Shana grew up as a 'nursery girl' herself in this church when her family came here and has done an excellent job loving on our kids/babies, a ministry that makes a big impact every Sunday. Like Danielle, Shashana will continue to be an active part of our church family and community, but take a season to get refreshed for what God has next for her life. Thank you so much Shashana for your faithfulness and leadership on this team for the past 2 years, you have touched many kids and made an impact for the Kingdom of God - we appreciate all you have done! We look forward to honoring her as well during our weekend service on Sunday, August 25!
ERIC BABB
Eric will be stepping in as our interim “SC Kids Lead" effective September 1 - with his pastoral responsibilities shifting to focus primarily on four things: kids ministry, life group coaching, our new believers class, and website maintenance.
Eric brings so much to this next season of kids ministry. First, he will impart a renewed sense of energy to the kids and SC Kids Team alike. Second, he will bring leadership skills and experience that will rally the kids teams together, Third, Eric has a vision that God has downloaded in his heart to take our SC Kids Ministry to the next level, building on the great foundation and momentum both Danielle and Shashana have laid over the years. We look forward to honoring and praying over Eric and his new role in kids ministry during our weekend service on Sunday, August 25!
